The Waterbury Senior Center is a city run building for all Waterbury seniors ages 60 and over. It has all the comforts of home with access to services and information at your fingertips.  The center provides free programs and services, which empower and improve a senior’s mind, body and spirit, with a goal of decreasing isolation. The senior center includes:

  • Health Room – where wellness-related programs like flu-clinics, blood pressure screenings, mobile podiatry, reflexology, and hearing screenings take place
  • Fitness Room –  equip with stationary bikes, treadmills, free weights and a television
  • Arts & Crafts Room – where you can develop your creative skills in quilting, card making, painting, crocheting, and much more
  • Computer Room – where technology, social media, and internet classes are available
  • Library Room – quiet room for reading and checking out a variety of books and magazines
  • The Lounge – room for talking about current events, watching a movie, or catching up with friends
  • Game Room – come play a variety of games such as pool, Wii, card games, or even Mah Jong
  • Kitchen – learn new ways to eat healthy while on a budget, that satisfies your taste buds

The center is also a proud collaborator with the B.R.A.S.S. program, which holds programs at various locations in Waterbury for seniors.
